Manchester City claimed their first victory in seven games by defeating Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium.
Savinho opened the scoring in the 21st minute, scoring his first goal for City by following up on a Phil Foden shot that was saved by Leicester goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk. Erling Haaland then doubled City’s lead in the second half, assisted by Savinho’s cross.
Haaland’s goal marked his 15th Premier League goal of the season and ended his recent scoring drought.
Despite Leicester having chances to level the match, including missed opportunities by Jamie Vardy and Facundo Buonanotte hitting the post, they were unable to score.
As a result, Manchester City moved up to fifth place in the Premier League table, while Leicester remained in the relegation zone despite their improved performance.
