Nigerian artist Wizkid has made history by becoming the first African artist to surpass 8 billion streams on Spotify, setting a new milestone in his career.

This impressive achievement includes both his own music and his collaborations, with his popular track ‘One Dance’ featuring Drake leading the way with over 2 billion streams. The song even holds the Guinness World Record for being the first single to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

On the other hand, Wizkid‘s most streamed album on the platform is the deluxe edition of his fourth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos,’ which has garnered about a billion streams.

In addition, Burna Boy has also had significant success on Spotify, accumulating 7.2 billion streams and solidifying his position as the second most streamed African artist on the platform.
