A benefit concert called FireAid has been organized to raise money for relief efforts in the Los Angeles fires, with performances by a lineup of stars confirmed for the event on 30 January.
The lineup includes Billie Eilish, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga, Jelly Roll, Katy Perry, Joni Mitchell, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stevie Nicks, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, and more names to be announced.
There are talks of U2 potentially performing, but this is not yet confirmed. The Eagles have already donated $2.5 million towards the cause.
The concert will take place at the end of the month at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood and the Kia Forum. Both shows will happen simultaneously.
Tickets for the fundraiser will be available for purchase on 22 January.
The show will also be streamed live on a range of platforms including Apple Music, Apple TV, Paramount+, Prime Video and Spotify.
Money raised from FireAid will be given to both short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters. There will be a focus on using the funds to “rebuild infrastructure, support displaced families and advance fire prevention technologies and strategies.”
The shows will take place three days before the 67th annual Grammy Awards is due to happen.
