In a recent interview with Hip TV, rapper Odumodublvck delved into the complexities of the issues between artists and their record labels. He stressed that the root of many conflicts lies in personal disagreements between artists and label executives, rather than systemic problems within the industry.
Odumodublvck emphasized that business relationships are inherently affected by human dynamics, which can lead to misunderstandings and disputes.
He cautioned against vilifying record labels, noting that some artists may become demanding and challenging to work with once they achieve success.
The rapper urged artists to recognize and appreciate the investments and support provided by their labels in their career growth. While acknowledging the challenges artists face, Odumodublvck also acknowledged that record labels are not without fault.
He advocated for a fair and accountable approach to resolving conflicts, emphasizing the importance of both parties taking responsibility for their actions.
“Everybody must be accountable. It’s not a record labels are bad situation…There are things artists don’t come out to say during this conflict”, he said in part.
