EPL: Why I forced Rashford out of Man Utd – Amorim

Rashford and Amorim

Ruben Amorim, manager of Manchester United, has stated that Marcus Rashford had to depart from the Premier League club as he was unable to persuade him to embrace his strategies.

Rashford has now signed with Aston Villa on a loan deal until the season concludes. Aston Villa will cover up to 75% of his salary and have the opportunity to make the transfer permanent for £40 million.

Amorim has disclosed that he excluded the 27-year-old from the team due to communication barriers.

“What I say is I couldn’t put Marcus to see the way you’re supposed to play football and to train the way I see it,” Amorim said.

“And sometimes you have one player who is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different. I just wish the best to Rashford and Unai Emery, and I hope they can connect because he’s a very good player.”
