In a tense and dramatic White House meeting, former U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fiercely debated the future of Ukraine’s war with Russia.
Trump bluntly told Zelensky, “Make a deal or we’re out,” pressing for negotiations with Vladimir Putin.
Zelensky firmly rejected the idea, insisting that Ukraine “should not make concessions” in pursuit of peace. However, Trump argued that Kyiv would need to negotiate to end the war.
According to White House correspondents, the exchange was highly confrontational, leading to the cancellation of a scheduled joint press conference between the two leaders.
Shortly after Zelensky’s departure, Trump posted on Truth Social: “He can come back when he is ready for peace.”
