Kelly Rowland has again shown unwavering support for her longtime friend and former bandmate, Beyoncé.

In a recent interview at the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty, the ‘Motivation’ singer proudly spoke about Queen Bey’s long-overdue victory at the Grammy Awards, where she secured her first-ever Album of the Year win.

“I actually claimed it. I don’t know why it took so long, but it doesn’t matter. Even before this award, she’s been putting out music that has given people confidence. I’m just really happy for her.”

This win marks a major milestone in Beyoncé’s career, following four previous nominations in the category for I Am… Sasha Fierce (2010), Beyoncé (2015), Lemonade (2017), and Renaissance (2023). With this achievement, she becomes only the fourth Black woman in Grammy history to take home the honor, joining Lauryn Hill, Natalie Cole, and Whitney Houston.
