Netflix is doubling down on its commitment to Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black, officially renewing the hit drama for a second season.
Anchored by Taylor Polidore Williams and Crystle Stewart, the series follows the intertwined lives of two women from vastly different worlds—Kimmie, struggling to make ends meet after being kicked out by her mother, and Mallory, a successful businesswoman navigating her own challenges.
The show has been a seismic hit, spending four weeks in Netflix’s Top 10 and hitting #1 across 28 countries in its second week. Part 2, which debuted this month, has also dominated social media.
Tyler Perry shared his excitement about the renewal:
