BET has officially renewed Tyler Perry’s hit dramedy Sistas for a milestone 10th season, with the announcement coming just ahead of the show’s Season 9 finale.
The Atlanta-set series continues to dominate cable television, currently on track to finish as the No. 1 scripted cable series of the year among Black adults.
It also ranks as the top cable series among all Black viewers for the third consecutive year, further cementing its status as one of BET’s most valuable and successful franchises.
Sistas boasts an all-star ensemble cast including KJ Smith, Mignon, Ebony Obsidian, Novi Brown, Crystal Renée’ Hayslett, Devale Ellis, Chido Nwokocha, Brian Jordan Jr., Angela “Angie” Beyincé, Branden Wellington, Chris Warren, Kevin A. Walton, Darone Okolie, Walnette Marie Santiago, and Sullivan Jones.
While the flagship series continues its impressive run, its spinoff, Divorced Sistas, is yet to be renewed for a second season.
Fans will not have to wait long for fresh episodes. Season 10 of Sistas is scheduled to premiere on January 7 at 9 p.m., with new episodes airing weekly every Wednesday on BET.
