Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), recently stated in an interview on ‘State of the Nation’ with Leadership TV that he turned down an offer to collaborate with former president Goodluck Jonathan.
Sowore cited the quality of individuals in Jonathan’s administration as the reason for his decision.
“When Goodluck became president, he sent a man to come look for me in Breton with money, but I declined, telling him I cannot work with the people under his administration,” he said.
Despite having a potential connection with Jonathan, Sowore remained steadfast in his commitment to not working with his government, as he had been close to someone actively challenging the political establishment during the presidency of the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
