Nigerian evangelist Benita Okeke has criticized celebrity fashion designer Veekee James for claiming the Holy Spirit inspired her to design Priscilla Ojo’s wedding gown.
After the wedding of Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux, Veekee shared a behind-the-scenes video detailing the creative process of the gown, stating that she had prayed for divine guidance and was led by the Holy Spirit, despite experiencing vocal strain and exhaustion.
However, Evangelist Okeke has taken issue with the claim, questioning the spiritual legitimacy of such inspiration. In a viral video, she argued that the outfit did not align with Christian standards of modesty.
“The dress wasn’t modest. Can the Holy Spirit truly lead someone to design something that doesn’t reflect decency?” she said.
She further warned that not all inspiration comes from God, adding that personal desires can sometimes cloud spiritual discernment.
