Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James has responded strongly to a fan who criticized her outfit, describing it as “not necessary” and “not fully Christian.”
The critic had sent her a message on Snapchat, questioning her fashion choices and urging her to fully reflect a Christ-like image.
“That your two-piece dressing was not necessary. If you want to portray yourself as an image of Christ, embrace it fully,” the message read.
Reacting to the comment, Veekee made it clear that she would not allow others dictate how she expresses her faith or lives her life.
“You think it is me you will tell how to live my Christian life. I will not change who I am or how I serve my God, or how I express my faith. You think I have time for hypocrisy,” she replied.
Veekee, who is currently expecting her first child with her husband, Femi Atere, has been open about her beliefs while also maintaining her identity as a fashion-forward public figure.
The couple got married in February 2024 in a high-profile ceremony that drew significant attention across social media and entertainment platforms. In early 2026, they announced they are expecting their first child.
