Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has urged his critics to stop criticizing him for dancing in public.
He believes it is unfair for his political performances to be undermined simply because he chooses to express himself through dance.
Adeleke pointed out that many of his colleagues and even the President dance publicly without facing the same level of criticism.
He made it clear that there is no law prohibiting a Governor or any public officer from dancing as long as they are not causing any harm.
In a viral video making the rounds on X, the Governor could be heard saying, “[Babajide] Sanwo-olu is dancing. Everybody is dancing. Even Baba [Bola] Tinubu is dancing. So, no law that says just because you are a governor, you can’t dance.
“Stop judging me just because I choose to express myself through dancing. It is my joy, my freedom, and an essential part of who I am. If it brings me happiness and harms no one, then there is no reason it should be condemned.”
Davido recently praised Adeleke as the best governor Osun State has ever had, arguing that his uncle’s love for dancing should not detract from his proven performance in the state.
