Tobi Amusan Shines in Rabat Diamond League with Season-Best 12.45s in 100m Hurdles

Nigeria’s sprint queen Tobi Amusan returned to winning form on Sunday, claiming victory in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Rabat Diamond League with an impressive season-best time of 12.45 seconds (+1.2 m/s wind).

The world record holder bounced back confidently from her season opener in Xiamen, where she finished fourth with a time of 12.74s.

Her dominant run in Rabat not only marked a significant improvement but also reaffirmed her status as one of the world’s top hurdlers.

Amusan made global headlines in 2022 when she shattered the world record with a remarkable 12.12s performance.

Since then, she has continued to build her legacy as a consistent force on the Diamond League circuit.

“I’m getting back into my rhythm,” Amusan said after the race. “There’s more to come.”

With the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo fast approaching, Amusan’s Rabat win sends a clear message to her rivals—she’s back, and she’s a top contender for gold.

Her latest triumph also strengthens her position in the Diamond League rankings and boosts her confidence heading into a crucial phase of the 2025 season.
