On June 4, the temporary restraining order that Halle Bailey had obtained against DDG officially ended. DDG’s legal filing describes an immediate decline in their relationship, which he claims involved “repeated arguments, threats, and physical altercations.” In March 2022, he made their relationship public on Instagram for Halle’s birthday. However, shortly before that, a series of intense texts reportedly occurred.
One exhibit shows a conversation from March 10, 2022, in which Halle Bailey questions DDG’s departure, to which he replies, “I’m done with the threats.” Halle allegedly sent files and demanded he “answer the f**king phone,” later threatening to end the relationship. At one point, she messaged, “I have a knife,” and told DDG she was calling for help, asking, “but y don’t care do u.” When DDG asked, “HAVE A KNIFE FOR WHAT,” she continued expressing distress.
Later in the same exchange, she told him, “Whatever I decide to do is none of your concern,” to which he responded by saying her behavior was “manipulative and selfish.” She then replied that her actions were not meant to elicit guilt, writing, “Don’t feel sad either it’s cool.” DDG accused Halle Bailey of sending mixed signals and making threats to leave while seeing other people.

2022: DDG provided texts from August 23, 2022, where he described frequent arguments and Halle’s tendency to “downplay” his aspirations. 5. Two Firearm Incidents Alleged, Including Text Evidence
DDG described two instances involving his gun. In August 2023, he said Halle Bailey took his loaded weapon without permission and threatened to harm herself. His mother and her fiancé reportedly intervened. George allegedly recovered the firearm, and Halle locked herself in a bathroom afterward.
In another case, on May 12, 2024, DDG allegedly texted her multiple times, asking for the gun back and warning he would contact the police. One message included a photo of himself with Halo, along with the message: “You’re going to him go through life without a mom? I have to call the police.”
6. Incident Resulting in Chipped Tooth in January 2025
On January 18, 2025, DDG claims Halle hit him during a custody exchange. She had strapped Halo into DDG’s car, then unexpectedly entered the vehicle’s backseat. When he refused to talk, she allegedly climbed into the front seat and began striking him.

Lala has publicly denied any sexual involvement with DDG and stated she had a private conversation with Halle to clear the air.
