Nigerian Senator Adams Oshiomhole was involved in a heated exchange with airport officials at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos after reportedly missing his scheduled flight on Wednesday.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the former Edo State Governor and current Senator representing Edo North was seen arguing with staff at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT), following his late arrival for a domestic Air Peace flight slated to depart at 6:30 am.
Sources cited by SaharaReporters disclosed that Oshiomhole arrived significantly behind schedule and subsequently blocked the entrance to the Zulu Terminal, causing disruption.
Despite repeated pleas from the terminal manager and other airport staff, the senator allegedly refused to step aside, insisting on gaining access to the terminal.
The standoff created a brief scene, drawing the attention of passengers and airport personnel. As of the time of this report, neither Senator Oshiomhole nor his media team has issued an official comment on the incident.
