US-based Nigerian content creator and streamer, Adesokan Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, has stirred controversy after describing Nigeria as a “toxic” and “sickening” country.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the comedian wrote:
“Nigeria is too too Toxic man. Sickening.”
His remark quickly triggered a wave of mixed reactions, with several users criticizing him for condemning Nigeria just months after relocating abroad.
One user replied:
“You never even reach 6 months for that side u don dey enter us.”
In response, Shank Comics doubled down on his stance, saying:
“No jor. I’m serious.”
While some netizens echoed his sentiments about the country’s challenges, others accused him of being unpatriotic. Shank’s post has since continued to generate widespread conversation across social media platforms.
