Popular Ghanaian actress and singer Efia Odo has addressed circulating rumours suggesting she was deported from the United States, setting the record straight in a recent social media post.
Speculations about her immigration status surfaced in parts of the Ghanaian media, prompting a concerned fan to directly ask her on X (formerly Twitter): “Efia why them deport you cos it’s been a while you went back to the US.”
Efia quickly dismissed the claim, revealing that she is currently in the U.S. and has been for some time.
“I’ve been in New York 2 weeks now. Y’all be too nosey,” she replied, sharing a photo of herself enjoying the city.
The actress’ response has since gone viral, putting to rest the unfounded rumours and reminding fans not to believe everything they read online.
