Lily Allen is known for her honesty, and in the latest episode of her Miss Me? podcast, the 40-year-old singer delivered a raw and revealing insight into her personal life, admitting that she “can’t remember” how many abortions she’s had.
In a conversation with co-host Miquita Oliver, Lily Allen reflected on her past experiences with contraception and unplanned pregnancies:
“I’d get pregnant all the time, all the time,” she confessed.
“I just remembered I have an IUD (contraceptive coil) now. I think I’m on my third, maybe fourth, and I just remember before that it was a complete disaster area.”
Lily Allen then made a candid admission:
“Abortions, I’ve had a few, but then again, I can’t remember exactly how many … I think maybe like, I want to say four or five.”
Her longtime friend and co-host Miquita Oliver shared a similar experience:
“We’ve had about the same amount of abortions,” Miquita said.
“Lily, I’m so happy I can say that and you can say it and no one came to shoot us down, no judgment.”
The pair’s unfiltered discussion shed light on the realities many women face but rarely speak about openly.
Lily Allen also recalled one specific experience that, at the time, felt oddly touching:
“I remember once getting pregnant and the man paying for my abortion, and me thinking it was so romantic.”
Her perspective has since changed:
“I don’t think it’s generous or romantic,” she said, noting that the man never messaged her again afterwards.
“Fair (to be honest),” she joked. “I was a fken crazy bch, still am.”
The Smile singer shares two daughters, Ethel (13) and Marnie (11), with ex-husband Sam Cooper, whom she was married to from 2011 to 2018. She recently separated from her second husband, actor David Harbour, after four years of marriage.
