It’s officially over between pop superstar Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom.
The couple, who had sparked breakup rumours in recent months, have now confirmed that their engagement has ended. In a joint statement released on July 3, the pair emphasized their continued commitment to raising their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, in a stable and loving environment.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,”
read the statement, first published by People.
Though the relationship is over romantically, both stars stressed that their primary focus remains their daughter. The statement added:
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
The announcement comes on the heels of Orlando, 48, sharing a series of cryptic posts about “new beginnings,” “loneliness,” and “sadness” on social media — posts that many now view as subtle confirmations of the split.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry, 40, was seen holding back tears during a performance in Adelaide, Australia, marking the emotional close of that leg of her Lifetimes World Tour.
Katy Perry and Orlando began dating in 2016, and after a brief split, got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. They welcomed Daisy Dove in August 2020. Though their romantic chapter may have ended, it’s clear both stars are committed to writing a new one — centered on co-parenting and unity.
