Rashford Willing to Take 40% Pay Cut to Join Barcelona Amid Man United Exit Talks

Rashford and Zirkzee Shine as Amorim Secures First EPL Win, Man United Thrash Everton 4-0

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly prepared to take a 40 percent wage cut in order to secure a dream move to Spanish giants Barcelona this summer, according to The Touchline.

The 27-year-old England international is said to be eager to play for the La Liga champions in the upcoming season, especially after a frustrating period at Manchester United that saw him fall out with manager Ruben Amorim and eventually become sidelined from the first-team setup.

Sources close to the player claim that Rashford is not just chasing a move for prestige but is also demanding a prominent role in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona project. The forward is understood to be focused on re-establishing himself at the highest level to secure a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With Barcelona failing in their attempt to land top summer target Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao, Rashford’s chances of a Nou Camp move are believed to have increased. His versatility and experience make him an attractive alternative as the Catalans seek to bolster their attacking options.

Rashford, who also spent time on loan at Aston Villa last season, is now widely expected to depart Old Trafford. A potential move to Barcelona would not only represent a fresh start but also fulfill a long-held personal ambition.

While neither club has made an official comment, talks are said to be progressing, with Rashford’s willingness to accept a significant salary reduction highlighting his commitment to the switch.
