Popular Nigerian gospel artist, Gaise Baba, has described Lawrence Oyor, lead pastor of Davidic Generation Church, as a man with a “dangerous and ridiculous anointing”, following the viral success of their collaboration on the remix of No Turning Back.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Gaise Baba revealed that it was actually Pastor Lawrence Oyor who initiated the remix, contrary to popular belief.
“Technically, he came to me for the remix,” Gaise Baba said. “He loved the song and when we met, he was like, ‘Let’s do something about it.’ I was surprised.”
The remix of No Turning Back, released in May 2025, has since become a viral anthem on social media, with celebrities and fans alike participating in the ongoing dance challenge.
Speaking further, Gaise Baba elaborated on the uniqueness of Pastor Oyor’s spiritual calling:
“He has a dangerous and ridiculous anointing. He’s from an interesting heritage of deliverance ministry, and God has added wisdom to it. So now it’s not raw anointing—it’s refined and packaged. There’s wisdom and excellence attached to his raw anointing, and that’s a dangerous combination.”
Gaise Baba’s praise highlights not only the spiritual depth of Pastor Oyor but also his evolving influence in gospel music and youth culture. Their collaboration continues to inspire a growing movement, particularly among Christian youth engaging with music on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
