Former Minister Rotimi Amaechi Arrives Daura for Buhari’s Burial in Traditional Northern Attire

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has arrived in Daura, Katsina State, to attend the funeral of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died in a London hospital at the age of 82.

Amaechi, who served in Buhari’s cabinet from 2015 to 2022, was seen dressed in traditional Northern attire, paying respect to the region and his late former boss.

The burial is scheduled to begin shortly, following funeral prayers at the Emir’s Palace.

Buhari, who ruled Nigeria for eight years, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Daura by Islamic rites.

Amaechi’s presence underscores his continued loyalty to the late ex-president, under whom he held one of the most strategic cabinet positions.
