As Beyoncé wrapped up her Cowboy Carter era with a show-stopping final performance in Las Vegas on July 26, former U.S. President Donald Trump reignited controversy — this time targeting the global superstar over her political affiliations.
In a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump accused Beyoncé and other celebrities like Bono, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift of illegally receiving payment from Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris in exchange for endorsements during the 2024 election campaign.
Despite having won the presidency, Trump doubled down on his earlier threats from May, now alleging that Beyoncé was paid $11 million — a claim both she and her representatives have previously denied, insisting no money was exchanged for political support.
“These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO,” Trump declared in his latest post.
He further accused Kamala Harris, Oprah Winfrey, Al Sharpton, and others of violating campaign finance laws, calling for full prosecution.
“Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted,” Trump said, adding that Beyoncé “never sang, not one note” and allegedly left the stage to a “booing and angry audience.”
As of the time of this report, Beyoncé, Kamala Harris, Oprah, or Sharpton have not responded to the claims. The President has also not indicated any concrete legal steps beyond making the accusations public.
The development has sparked heated debate online, with political analysts and fans alike questioning the legal basis — and political motivations — behind Trump’s latest outburst.
