A pre-season friendly between Como and Real Betis on Wednesday turned ugly after a mass brawl broke out between players of both teams during the halftime interval.

According to reports, Fornals appeared to throw a punch at Perrone, prompting the Como player to attempt retaliation. Their clash quickly escalated as players from both sides rushed in, resulting in multiple on-field scuffles.

Surprisingly, Fornals — the player who threw the first punch — was not shown a red card.

Instead, the referee handed red cards to Maximo Perrone and Hector Bellerin, the former Arsenal defender, further fueling controversy over the officiating.

At the time of the incident, Como was leading 2-0. Despite the disruption, Real Betis rallied to level the scoreline at 2-2.

However, Ivan Azon’s stoppage-time winner secured a dramatic 3-2 victory for Cesc Fabregas’ Como side.

The post-match conversation has been dominated not by the football, but by the heated clash — raising questions about sportsmanship and discipline ahead of the upcoming season.
