The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued a new directive mandating that all mobile phones must be completely switched off during aircraft take-off and landing.
The update was announced on Tuesday by Michael Achimugu, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, via a post on X.
According to the agency, the move comes after an emergency meeting with industry stakeholders, aimed at harmonizing regulations on the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices during flights in Nigeria.
