Popular Nigerian singer Skales appears to have moved on from his marriage as he publicly unveiled his new partner, US-based model Shauney Monae.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, August 23, the “Shake Body” crooner penned a heartfelt message to celebrate Shauney on her birthday, describing her as his “favourite song and guiding light.”
He wrote partly:
“The way you love, the way you care, the way you teach me how to live. So here’s to you, the one I adore, my heart, my muse, my greatest friend.”
This marks a new chapter for Skales, who tied the knot with model Precious Raoul in September 2021. The union, which was once celebrated as a blessing, later hit rocky waters.
In September 2022, during their first wedding anniversary, the singer had praised Precious for being a positive force in his life. But just two months later, in November 2022, Skales publicly blasted her, accusing her of neglecting his late mother and calling her a “devil.”
Although he later apologised in March 2023 — the same month they welcomed their daughter together — it now seems the reconciliation was short-lived.
With his latest post, fans believe Skales has officially ended things with Precious and is embracing a new beginning with Shauney Monae.
