Jose Mourinho has been dismissed by Fenerbahce following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League league phase.
The Turkish side confirmed the decision after being eliminated at the play-off stage, losing 1-0 on aggregate to Benfica. The board wasted no time in taking action, ending Mourinho’s stint in charge.
The Portuguese tactician, who previously won the Premier League three times with Chelsea, is already being linked with a sensational return to England, with Nottingham Forest reportedly among the clubs interested.
He guided Fenerbahce to a second-place league finish last season but ended the campaign without silverware. His most recent trophy remains the Europa Conference League title, which he lifted with Roma in 2022.
