Former Big Brother Naija housemate and TV personality, Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as Cee-c, has admitted that sustaining fame through the Big Brother platform is far from easy.
Speaking during a podcast session with fellow ex-housemate Boma Akpore, Ceec revealed that while the reality TV show is indeed life-changing, it comes with unique challenges that many housemates struggle to overcome, especially in terms of longevity in the entertainment industry.
She explained that the sudden transition from obscurity to stardom often creates a shaky foundation for many former housemates, as they are thrust into the spotlight without the gradual process of networking, nurturing industry connections, or learning how to sustain a long-term career.
“One of the disadvantages of coming into the game through Big Brother is that it’s quick. Like you’re nobody today and you come out of the house and people know you. You don’t get to build relationships that you need to survive in the industry,” Ceec said.
Cynthia Nwadiora first rose to fame as a housemate on Big Brother Naija Season 3, where she finished as runner-up. She later returned for Big Brother Naija Season 8 All Stars, where she secured third place.
