Real Housewives of Potomac’ star Karen Huger, popularly known as The Grand Dame, has been released from prison.
Her release was confirmed to Page Six by a prison representative who stated simply: “She has been released.”
Karen Huger was sentenced in December 2024 after being found guilty of DUI. The presiding judge noted she was “filled to the gills” with alcohol at the time of her arrest.
She received a two-year sentence, with one year suspended, meaning she was to serve one year behind bars.
In February 2025,Karen Huger reported to Maryland’s Montgomery County Correctional Facility to begin her term after being taken into custody immediately following the judgment.
In total, Huger spent seven months in prison before gaining her freedom. Reports indicate that Bravo cameras were present to capture the moment of her release, hinting that it may be featured in upcoming RHOP episodes.
