American hurdler Masai Russell narrowly missed out on the podium, finishing fourth in 12.44s.

Amusan, the world record holder with her stunning 12.12s set in Eugene in 2022, once again proved her consistency on the global stage, reaffirming her status as one of the leading hurdlers in the sport.

Her silver adds to Nigeria’s medal tally and fuels hopes for further success as the championships continue.
