“The price of house rent is now the price of a house” – Basketmouth Laments Rising Cost of Living in Nigeria

Popular Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has expressed concern over the escalating prices of basic goods and services in the country.

Taking to his Instagram page, the entertainer drew comparisons between the cost of different essentials, lamenting how inflation has made everyday expenses increasingly unaffordable.

Basketmouth wrote:
“The price of street food is now the price of fast food. The price of fast food is now the price of fine dining. The price of fine dining is now the price of a house rent. The price of house rent is now the price of a house.”

His post struck a chord with many Nigerians online, who echoed similar frustrations about the rising cost of living and the impact on daily survival.
