Jennifer Lopez demonstrated grace under pressure during a visit to ‘The Today Show’ on Monday, October 6, ahead of her new film ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’, set for release on October 10.
When anchor Craig Melvin asked about her recently finalized divorce from Ben Affleck, Lopez didn’t shy away from giving her ex-husband credit. She revealed that Affleck served as an executive producer on the film and helped finance the project.
“Without Ben this film wouldn’t exist; the movie was all about escapism, and it helped [the main character] navigate one of the hardest times of her life,” Lopez said.
True to her professional poise, Lopez quickly shifted the conversation to a lighter topic—Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl announcement. She smiled fondly while recalling performing alongside him during her own halftime show in 2020.
Lopez also addressed the controversy surrounding the NFL’s choice of Bunny as the 2026 headliner, noting that some conservatives have criticized the organization and Apple Music, the Halftime Show sponsor, for the selection.
