Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about some of the most extravagant gestures she’s ever received — including a politician sending a private jet to fly her out while she was pregnant, and another person gifting her a Range Rover on her birthday.
Speaking in a recent interview, Tiwa Savage was asked to share the grandest gesture anyone had ever made toward her. She revealed that after performing at a show with the Mavin crew, a politician sent his Special Assistant and a private plane just for her.
However, the “Somebody’s Son” crooner made it clear that she declined the offer and didn’t take the flight.
“He sent a plane to pick me up while I was pregnant. Obviously, I didn’t go,” she said.
Tiwa also recalled another lavish moment when someone surprised her with a Range Rover as a birthday gift — a gift she eventually returned.
According to her, the surprise happened on the same day her now ex-husband proposed to her.
“Someone bought me a Range Rover for my birthday, which I returned. It was on the day that my now ex-husband proposed to me. I didn’t know that it was going to be presented that same day,” she said.
The singer’s revelation has sparked conversations online, with fans praising her for her restraint and integrity, despite being faced with such grand offers.
