Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has described his relationship with his fourth baby mama, actress Ashabi Simple, as the only mistake he ever made in life.
In a leaked audio conversation shared on his Instagram page on Saturday, Portable accused Ashabi of trying to drive away all the women in his life — including his wife, Bewaji.
The singer, in an emotional outburst, questioned Ashabi’s motives, claiming she came into his life because of his fame.
“You didn’t suffer with me. You only came into my life because of my glory. I made you. Without my name, who knows you before now?” he said.
Portable further accused the actress of publicly disrespecting him, calling her actions “evil” and asserting that a wife should show him respect.
“You are the mistake I made in my life,” he declared. “Among all my baby mamas, you are the one chasing people away, including Queen Dami. When she came to apologise, you and your friends spoiled it.”
He also claimed that Ashabi had tried to cause problems between him and his wife, Bewaji, by telling her about his alleged girlfriends.
“It was God who didn’t let my wife, Bewaji, leave my house. You poor girl and actress, what have you ever bought for your parents? You’re wasting your time. I can’t love you,” he added.
Portable’s comments come amid a series of public spats between the pair. Since Ashabi became his baby mama, the singer has repeatedly called her out online, accusing her of competing with his wife and stirring controversy within his family.
Despite their frequent quarrels and online drama, Portable and Ashabi have continued to reconcile intermittently, keeping fans guessing about the true state of their relationship.
