Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked fresh controversy after opening up about the growing strain in his relationship with his wife, Bewaji, suggesting that she has become “too big” because of the attention he gives her online.
The outspoken artiste claimed that his public praise of his wife had contributed to a change in her attitude and made her a target for people looking to attack him.
In a post shared on social media, Portable alleged that constantly speaking positively about Bewaji had made her feel overly important.
According to him, critics now use her as a means of getting at him.
“I won’t post my new wife because my wife don dey feel big. As I dey talk good about her online, people won dey use her dey enter me.”
The singer went on to suggest that he may begin posting another woman instead, implying that he is unhappy with Bewaji’s recent behaviour towards him.
“Na to run post another woman ooooo.”
Although Portable did not explain exactly what prompted the outburst, his comments have fueled speculation about tension in their marriage.
Portable has frequently made headlines over his complicated relationships, often airing personal issues involving his wife and several of his children’s mothers on social media.
His latest remarks come amid ongoing public attention surrounding his family life, with the singer once again choosing to express his frustrations online.
