Seyi Tinubu Gifts Actress Sarah Martins ₦20 Million Days After Her Arrest for Feeding the Needy in Lagos

Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Sarah Martins, has received a ₦20 million donation from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just days after she was arrested by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) for allegedly obstructing walkways while distributing free meals to the needy.

In a video that surfaced online, a representative of Seyi Tinubu met with Sarah to deliver the financial assistance, explaining that the gesture was intended to help her continue her humanitarian work in a more structured and safer way.

“We want you to get a proper space where public health and safety will not be compromised,” the representative said. “Once you secure a shop, Seyi Tinubu will also take responsibility for equipping it with modern industrial cooking equipment. This is just to help you start.”

He further revealed that although Seyi Tinubu is currently out of the country, he has been closely following Sarah’s charitable efforts online and was deeply moved by her passion to support underprivileged children and families.

“Seyi is a philanthropist. He sees all that you do, and this is his way of encouraging you to keep going — but in compliance with government regulations,” the representative added.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Sarah Martins expressed her gratitude for the unexpected gesture, describing it as life-changing.

“Seyi Tinubu sent me ₦20 million support for what I do. I’m short of words, I’m literally speechless. God bless you, Mr. Seyi Tinubu. This means so much to me and to the street kids,” she said tearfully.

Her recent arrest by KAI officials sparked widespread debate online, with many Nigerians praising her selflessness and condemning the authorities’ action, while others stressed the importance of adhering to public safety and sanitation rules.

With Seyi Tinubu’s intervention, Sarah Martins is now expected to relocate her outreach program to a designated space, ensuring her charitable mission continues — this time with greater safety, structure, and government backing.
