Paris Saint-Germain forward Desire Doue has been ruled out for several weeks after sustaining a muscular injury to his right thigh during Wednesday’s 1-1 Ligue 1 draw against Lorient.
The club confirmed on Thursday that the 20-year-old will miss PSG’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich next Tuesday, as well as their Ligue 1 fixtures against Nice and Lyon.
“A new update will be provided after the international break,” PSG said in a statement.
The setback comes just weeks after Doue returned from a six-week layoff due to a calf injury suffered on France duty. The talented youngster had made an impressive comeback, netting a first-half brace in PSG’s 7-2 demolition of Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
His absence will be a major blow to the European champions as they continue their push for domestic and continental success this season.
