BBNaija twins Wanni and Handi brought electrifying energy to Yvonne Jegede’s 20-year Nollywood celebration, delivering back-to-back DJ sets that kept guests dancing throughout the night.
The event, tagged “Yvonne Jegede: Reimagined”, was held on Sunday and drew a star-studded crowd of Nollywood and music personalities.
Notable attendees included 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru; actor Nosa Rex (Babarex); singer Orezi; filmmaker Charles Novia; actress Mary Njoku; journalist Sam Olatunji; and singer Mike Ezuruonye.
Wanni and Handi didn’t just entertain from behind the turntables — the DJs also joined Yvonne on the dance floor, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebratory atmosphere.
Speaking on her milestone, Yvonne reflected on her journey in the industry.
“The last 20 years have been a period of growth and rebirth.
Some of my contemporaries are no longer here, so I’m grateful for the grace that has kept me relevant,” she said.
Yvonne’s acting career began after a chance encounter with filmmaker Charles Novia, which led to her debut role in Missing Angel.
She later gained wider recognition with her appearance in 2Baba’s iconic African Queen music video, a moment she has often credited as pivotal to her rise in Nollywood.
The celebration highlighted not only her achievements but also the strong community of entertainers who have supported her journey over the past two decades.
