Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has opened up about how he met his Nigerian wife, Priscilla Ojo, sharing a personal love-at-first-sight story that eventually led to marriage.
Speaking in a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the singer revealed that their first meeting happened in Rwanda and that, at the time, he had no idea Priscilla was a celebrity.
According to Juma Jux, his initial attraction was purely physical, but deeper conversations later convinced him that she was the woman he wanted to spend his life with.
“I met Priscilla in Rwanda. I didn’t know she was a celebrity. When I saw her, it was love-at-first-sight. I was like, ‘Wow! This girl is beautiful, I like her.’
“And after we had conversations, I figured out that she is the one I would marry. It was love-at-first-sight to be honest. Even after many meetings, I still didn’t know she was a celebrity until I hosted her in Zanzibar and blogs carried it.”
The singer also noted that his marriage to Priscilla has had a positive effect on his career, especially by expanding his fanbase in Nigeria and across West Africa.
Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo tied the knot earlier this year. The couple welcomed their son, Rakeem, in Canada on August 24, 2025.
