“I am not afraid of anyone, I want is to speak my truth” – Doris Ogala Speaks After Release From Police Custody Over Dispute With Pastor Chris Okafor

Nollywood Actress Doris Ogala Reportedly Arrested Amid Explosive Allegations Against Pastor Chris Okafor

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has spoken publicly following her release from police custody in Lagos after a dispute involving Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Liberation City.

Ogala was detained after making public allegations of an alleged relationship with the cleric and accusing him of failing to fulfil a promise to marry her.

The claims gained widespread attention after she shared videos and posts on social media detailing her version of events.

In a video released on Wednesday after regaining her freedom, the actress said she would not be intimidated into silence and insisted she was ready to face any consequences while telling her side of the story.

“I am not afraid of going to jail. I am not afraid of anyone. All I want is to speak my truth, and my truth I will speak,” she said.

Ogala also expressed gratitude to human rights activist Omoyele Sowore and social media personality VeryDarkMan, acknowledging their roles during her detention. She noted that she did not expect their support but appreciated their intervention.

Prior to her arrest, Ogala’s legal representatives had issued a demand notice to Pastor Okafor, seeking N1 billion in damages over alleged emotional distress and breach of promise. The notice indicated that legal action would be taken if the matter was not resolved within a specified timeframe.

Pastor Okafor has denied the allegations. In a public address to members of his church, he stated that anyone making claims should be prepared to substantiate them. He also said he was cooperating with security agencies and urged calm.

Subsequent reports indicated that the pastor had reached out to Ogala in an attempt to resolve the dispute amicably.

The controversy has continued to generate mixed reactions on social media, with many observers calling for restraint as the legal and personal dimensions of the case continue to unfold.
