Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Best Middle East Player at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai.
The Portuguese superstar received the honour on Sunday night at a star-studded ceremony attended by football legends, club presidents, agents and global sports figures.
Speaking after collecting the award, Ronaldo described the Globe Soccer Awards as one of his favourite ceremonies and said his motivation to perform at the highest level remains unchanged.
“I still motivate myself to carry on. It doesn’t matter where I play, to score goals and keep going,” Ronaldo said.
“I want to win more trophies and reach a number, and I will reach that number.”
Paris Saint-Germain dominated the night, winning several major awards. The French club was named Best Men’s Club, while its president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, emerged as Best President. Midfielder Vitinha won Best Midfielder, and Ousmane Dembélé was crowned Best Men’s Player.
Reacting to his award, Dembélé said the year was special for PSG, highlighting their Champions League triumph. “Winning the Champions League is very difficult, but we made it happen,” he said.
Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal had an impressive night, winning Best Under-23 Player, Best Forward, and the Maradona Award. Jan Oblak received LaLiga’s Best Saves award, while Raphinha was named LaLiga Best Player.
Hansi Flick won Best Manager, Luis Enrique was named Best Coach, and Luis Campos received the Best Sporting Director award. Jorge Mendes was honoured as Best Agent, while Barcelona Femeni clinched Best Women’s Club.
Late Liverpool striker Diogo Jota was posthumously honoured with a Special Award, which was received by his parents.
