Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez has addressed backlash over her fashion choices, dismissing claims that she does not dress appropriately for her age.
Speaking during the opening night of her Las Vegas residency, Up All Night: Live in Las Vegas, at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace on Tuesday, the 56-year-old singer and actress said she finds some of the criticism amusing.
“It is funny, I do laugh at some of the things sometimes,” Lopez said, noting that critics often question her style and appearance.
She revealed that she is frequently criticised for smiling with her mouth open in photos and for her choice of outfits, with some trolls asking why she does not “dress her age” or why she is “always naked.”
“And I said if you had this booty, you’d be naked too!” she joked, drawing laughter from the audience.
Jennifer Lopez also poked fun at her love life while reflecting on her first Las Vegas residency, which ran from 2016 to 2018, joking about the number of times she had been married.
Assuring fans, the Hustlers actress said she is now in a happier phase of her life.
“The good news is that I’m learning and I’m growing. We’re in our happy era right now,” she added.
Jennifer Lopez has previously been married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony and Ben Affleck.
