Makhadzi Affirms Strong Bond with Master KG Despite Breakup

Award-winning South African musician Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, popularly known as Makhadzi, expressed deep gratitude to her fans after her hit single Sesi Ka Rose won the Song of the Year award on Phalaphala FM.

The recognition comes at the close of a year her team described as one marked by both major success and serious personal challenges.

Following the announcement, Makhadzi’s management released a statement on behalf of Makhadzi Entertainment, thanking supporters nationwide for their unwavering loyalty throughout 2025.

The team emphasised the critical role fans played in sustaining the artist during a demanding period.

“On behalf of Makhadzi Entertainment, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who voted for Makhadzi’s Sesi Ka Rose as Song of the Year,” the statement read. “Your belief and support continue to inspire us.

“2025 was not an easy year. We experienced both challenges and victories, but through it all, your unwavering support and love for Makhadzi meant everything to us as a team.”

The statement concluded with well wishes for the new year, thanking fans for being part of the journey and wishing them success, joy, and prosperity.

Makhadzi also personally addressed her supporters — affectionately known as the Khadzinators — in an emotional message filled with gratitude, honesty, and faith. She thanked fans for standing by her during a difficult period and explained why she felt compelled to update them on her health.

“To all my lovely Khadzinators, my fans, thank you for the love and support you have been showing me during this difficult time,” she said. “I feel a need to update you about my health because of the love and support you have shown me — not only in South Africa, but across Africa and globally.”

The singer revealed that she has been discharged from hospital and is now under home care, supported by her family as she continues her recovery. According to her doctor’s advice, Makhadzi will remain off the stage for approximately 10 weeks due to injuries sustained in a recent accident.

Despite the setback, she expressed optimism and faith, stating that she believes in divine healing and is steadily regaining strength. While she will not be performing during this recovery period, Makhadzi confirmed she will continue working in the studio and thanked God for preserving her voice, describing her survival as a “second chance to breathe.”

Her update follows an earlier statement from her team on 31 December 2025, which confirmed that the artist was involved in a car accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg.

At the time, fans were assured that she was receiving medical attention, was in stable condition, and that her health remained the top priority.

Despite the hardships she faced, Makhadzi’s Song of the Year win stands as a defining moment — underscoring the strength of her music, her resilience, and the unwavering support of her fans.
