“Where Is the Certificate?” – VeryDarkMan Blasts BLord Over ‘Ratel’ Trademark Claim

VeryDarkMan Blasts BLord Over ‘Ratel’ Trademark Claim

Social media critic VeryDarkMan has sharply criticised businessman BLord over claims that he trademarked the name Ratel, dismissing the assertion as unsubstantiated and attention-seeking.

The outburst followed BLord’s warning that VeryDarkMan should stop using the name Ratel, insisting he owns the brand and that any use requires his consent.

Reacting in a video posted on Instagram, VeryDarkMan questioned the absence of official documentation backing the claim, arguing that trademark ownership must be proven, not asserted.

“First things first, where is the certificate? Where is your acceptance letter?” he asked, insisting that no valid proof had been presented to establish ownership.

He expressed surprise that someone with branding and advertising experience would publicly make such a claim without providing verifiable evidence.

“I didn’t believe that somebody like BLord, who understands branding and advertising, would foolish himself like this,” he said.

VeryDarkMan further explained that filing for a trademark does not automatically confer ownership.

According to him, names such as Ratel, The Ratel, and Ratel NG were reportedly submitted for trademark registration in September 2024, but filing alone does not equal approval or exclusive rights.

He added that, rather than harming his brand, the controversy had amplified Ratel’s online visibility.

Instead of destroying me, you’ve given Ratel more publicity than ever before,” he said.

The exchange has triggered widespread reactions on social media, with many users urging BLord to release trademark certificates to substantiate his claims, while others sided with VeryDarkMan’s demand for transparency.
