“Crazy at This Point” — Davido Reacts to Claims He Owes $50,000 Wedding Fee

Davido Reveals Why He Chose Akwa Ibom

Singer Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has dismissed online claims that he owes an event planner $50,000 for services rendered at his wedding, describing the reports as “crazy.”

The allegations, which circulated widely over the weekend, claimed that prominent event planner Funke Bucknor-Obruthe had called out the singer over an unpaid balance and allegedly threatened legal action if the money was not paid within three days.

Bucknor-Obruthe, however, swiftly debunked the reports, taking to Instagram to distance herself from the claims. She described the circulating posts and quotes as false and misleading, stressing that none of them originated from her official account.

Reacting to the controversy, Davido also addressed the matter on X, where he brushed aside the allegations with a brief comment, describing them as “crazy atp (at this point).”

The wedding payment claim surfaced amid other issues that have recently kept the singer in online conversations, including renewed attention on a decade-old paternity dispute.

A 12-year-old girl identified as Anu Adeleke reportedly requested a fresh DNA test to determine whether Davido is her biological father.

The singer has previously stated that multiple DNA tests showed “zero probability” of a biological link and has said he will not engage further on the matter.
