Andre Onana is reportedly in discussions over a possible return to Inter Milan from Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Daily Mail Sport, the Cameroon international’s representatives are currently in Milan, where talks are ongoing with several clubs — including Inter — about potential moves.
Onana, 29, is presently on loan at Turkish side Trabzonspor after losing his place as Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper to Senne Lammens, who joined the club from Royal Antwerp in September.
The former Barcelona and Ajax goalkeeper is expected to leave United permanently at the end of the season and is being considered by Inter as a possible replacement for Yann Sommer.
Onana previously enjoyed a highly successful spell at the San Siro during the 2022/23 season, where he became a fan favourite. He helped Inter reach the UEFA Champions League final, narrowly losing to Manchester City in Istanbul, and also won both the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup.
Despite still having two-and-a-half years remaining on his Manchester United contract — after joining the club for £47.2 million — reports suggest United may need to pay off part of his deal to facilitate a permanent move.
