Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani was involved in a car accident on Tuesday after a tyre on his vehicle blew out while travelling on the motorway.
The 27-year-old French international was reportedly en route to Stansted Airport ahead of Spurs’ UEFA Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt when the offside front tyre of his black Ferrari burst on the M25.
According to Mail Online Sports, Kolo Muani’s Tottenham teammate Wilson Odobert was driving behind him at the time of the incident and immediately pulled over to assist.
Images from the scene show the damaged Ferrari parked at the side of the motorway, with significant damage to the front of the car. The vehicle’s driver-side airbag was also deployed.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank later confirmed that both players were unharmed following the incident.
“Both are fine,” Frank said. “Unfortunately, they were involved in a minor accident. Everyone else involved was also fine. It was a tyre blowing up, so the two of them were delayed a little, but they will land.”
Despite the scare, the club confirmed there were no injuries sustained in the incident.
