“I’m Not Ready to Throw in the Towel” — Sherri Shepherd Breaks Silence After ‘Sherri’ Gets Cancelled

Sherri Shepherd’s Daytime Talk Show ‘Sherri’ Cancelled After Four Seasons

Sherri Shepherd has finally spoken out following news that her daytime talk show, Sherri, has been cancelled after four seasons — and she made one thing very clear: she is not going quietly.

The comedian and television host addressed the development on the February 9 episode of Sherri, days after the cancellation was confirmed by the show’s production company.

Her response had been widely anticipated, especially after she revealed she had been battling COVID, which delayed her public reaction.

Speaking directly to the studio audience, a visibly emotional Shepherd expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she has received.

“I am truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love I’ve received from all of you,” she said.
“The intention of this show was always, ALWAYS for you to leave happier than when you came. It has been my dream to have a talk show and I’m so grateful I got the chance to do it for four seasons.”

While acknowledging the disappointment surrounding the cancellation, Shepherd made it clear she is not giving up on the brand or the mission behind it.

“I want to be clear. I’m not ready to throw the towel in on the show just yet,” she said.
“We’re going to be airing episodes through the fall. And we’re going to fight to keep this show… in some way, shape, or form.”

Describing herself as a fighter, Shepherd vowed that the end of the syndicated run does not mean the end of Sherri.

“If anybody knows me, they know I’m a fighter,” she added.
“So I don’t know what it will look like, but I promise I will continue to spread joy.”

Sherri debuted in 2022 and quickly found a loyal audience for its mix of humor, celebrity interviews, and heartfelt conversations. Though its future remains uncertain, Shepherd’s message suggests the show — or at least its spirit — may live on beyond traditional television.

For now, fans can expect new episodes through the fall, as Shepherd and her team explore what comes next. One thing is certain: Sherri Shepherd is not done fighting for her voice, her platform, or her audience.
