Demi Lovato Cancels Five Tour Dates Over Health Concerns

Demi Lovato has cancelled five upcoming concerts on her It’s Not That Deep tour, citing concerns about her health and wellbeing.

The 33-year-old singer shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram message to her fans, affectionately known as “Lovatics,” explaining that she realized she had “overextended” herself while preparing for the 23-date tour.

“My Lovatics — I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can,” she wrote. “While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible.”

Demi Lovato has long been open about her health journey, including her experiences with bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, eating disorders, and depression. Over the years, she has used her platform to speak candidly about the importance of prioritizing mental and physical wellbeing.

In her recent statement, the Heart Attack singer emphasized that the demanding schedule of a multi-date concert tour required adjustments to protect her health.

“To protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse,” she explained. “And ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.”

The Sorry Not Sorry hitmaker first announced the It’s Not That Deep tour in October in support of her ninth studio album, which she described as a return to her electronic-pop roots.

While fans may be disappointed by the cancellations, Demi Lovato’s decision underscores her commitment to sustainability and self-care — ensuring she can deliver her best performances while safeguarding her wellbeing.
